Mind Shower 4/10/11 - click here to comment

Karla Rodriguez - Sunday, April 10, 2011
Today, ahhh, a shower of the mind.  How can people not want to shower their minds?  I commend those that showed, not knowing just want to expect and believing that the desire to shower the mind is an important one.  More importantly, it is necessary.   After Irina (certified life coach) took us through a talk, we all headed to the beach to purify our thoughts and be at peace with ourselves.  It was refreshing, eye opening and a great combination.  Thanks to everyone that attended and shared their life experiences,m feeling and energy with us, you are all so beautiful - heart, mind, body and soul!  Play on the beach often or until next time...

Gracias Irina for your guidance, it is truly a blessing to all of us.

Namaste, K

THE SENSE OF PRIDE CHALLENGE - click here to comment

Karla Rodriguez - Saturday, January 15, 2011
I wanted to share with you a great article I read at EMS1.com News, it was an article by Bryan Fass (First in Fitness).  He has an excellent concept in this article titled, "Develop a Sense of Pride".  The article is geared toward people who wear a uniform which of course I can relate to.  But, I believe that everyone can relate because everyone has to put clothes on for work and in essence, that is the uniform of the day.  And, about handling what you handle everyday - well people that wear a uniform do handle different stresses but look at yourself and think would someone not trained for my job be able to handle it? The answer is probably not.  So read these challenge questions and make them apply to you.

The article and Mr. Fass with a long list of credentials, he challenges readers to make a choice with each of these and follow through with it:
1-Go the extra step with yourself everyday; make fitness a priority;
2-Invest in your health; eat well and be well;
3-Accept that there are just something that you cannot change; let them go and dump the negative energy;
4-Be yourself; do not try to fit into a mold just be happy with who you are;
5-Wear your uniform with pride; very few can handle what you do everyday; take pride in your strength.

I believe he has it right...so right.  This is my take on each:
1-If you find a way to incorporate the things that work for you, keep you motivated and keep you moving even if its a short period of time, commitment because habit and good habits breed good energy for your life.
2-Invest means not just money, it means time, dedication and love for you body!
3-There are so many things that sabotage us on a daily basis which we must let go, making that choice is difficult but once you make it and you acknowledge that people or things have their own process which you have no control over, your mind will begin to de-clutter and your soul will feel lighter.
4-Ah, this is hard for someone who is questioning who they are but I found a good test.  Consider stepping outside your body and watching the way that you act when you get around certaIn people.  Do you change your laugh, likes, dislike, voice, walk, what you say or body movements.  Watch yourself and say is that the image I want to portray and is that truly me? I think everyone should try this its a Good checks and balances system.
5-Wear your clothes with pride no matter what size they are.  There is nothing more beautiful than a person that embraces the skin that they are in.  And, handling what you do - no one really knows what lies beneath those clothes but why do they have to?  Why walk around wearing your problems, that is not part of your uniform!  You have survived life's circumstances till now so take pride in that - THE SENSE OF PRIDE IS PART OF YOUR UNIFORM!

ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE!

Soothe Ur Soul Workshop - click here to comment

Karla Rodriguez - Monday, January 10, 2011
Soothe Ur Soul has many people registered but not many committed to walk through the door to confirm their commitment to open and soothe their souls.  The one hour session brought exercises of touch associated with our emotions and imagery that caressed the soul.  Our birthday girl received the present of synergy and each participant received a rock that represented a milestone in my life and now milestone in each of theirs.  My prayer for them is etched on their spine as a reminder of their journey to authenticity.  I am honored to be a part of their journey and blessed to know each and every one of them.  Wishing each of you the love, light and peace necessary to continue to make yummy deposits into your authentic soul.  Namaste, Karla Photos:

New Year's Resolutions

Karla Rodriguez - Wednesday, January 05, 2011
OK - time to declutter you mind, heart, body and soul.   Then move on to your relationships, home, car, desk, etc.  Clean it out!  Get rid of those clothes that are too tight and you will not fit into because they are from high school.  Get rid of the horribly big clothes that are comfort to the drowning soul.  Organize your workspace, make it fresh, light, functional and make it smell good!  Us humans are visual and respond to aromas nicely.  Oh you wanna lose weight too.  Well, I have news for you if you de-clutter then you will be lighter in so many ways.  Don't overthink it just do it!

I can Breath Again

Karla Rodriguez - Sunday, December 26, 2010

So the Holiday rush is over for the most part.  A couple straggler gifts that you forgot to get or possibly some gift returns for unsatisfied gift getters.  Either way, the running around since Thanksgiving is on the decline and now, most likely, you are left somewhat depleted but at least you can breath again, or at least let out a big sigh!  In the spirit of sighing and breathing...january's meditation brings you a passion awakening.  Go into January feeling prepared and armed with the right tools to be successful in resolving unfinished business.  In 2011, we should be more than our stress, we should be about our passion.  See January's meditation, http://sudortaino.com/monthly_meditations

THE QUESTION IS: WHERE IS YOUR FIRE?

Karla Rodriguez - Wednesday, December 08, 2010

Where are you right now?  Where are you when you get in your car?  Mentally and physically.  Are you in the negative which does not allow you to want, desire, push forth and be motivated to care for yourself, help others and be the best human that you can be?  It is time to ask yourself, where is my fire?  Find things that will nurture that fire and allow yourself to want.  Hold yourself accountable for eating like crap, for being jealous of your friend who has something that you think that you want or for you sabotaging yourself because you are so use to getting attention from being a victim.  Yes, I am giving it to you straight because enough is enough.  Is this what you want for 2011?  And, this may not apply to all of you, there are some of you that may have perfect life - and God bless you for that.  But, for the rest of us, there are different areas; whether it be relationships, work, self reflection or guilt, etc.  All of it is process so let people in to help, and you will be on your way to re-discovering your inner fire...
This is one of the basic principles in Sudor Taino's Ideology.  See tip://sudortaino.com/mission.
Make your relationship with Sudor Taino, a life changing one.  Whether it be through a blog, email, class, workshop, lecture, life coaching, or bootcamp - we are committed to challenging you to dig deep within your authentic self and ignite your fire.

Yummy Sister Leads by Example

Karla Rodriguez - Friday, December 03, 2010

We all know that staying motivated is not easy.  In this economy, with limited and support we must venture through daily obstacles and push forward to new heights.  My sister experiences being laid-off, like many Americans today, she was thrusted back into the job market with all the young bucks and baby boomers.A hit to loyal woman of more than 20 years dedicated to an insurance company...but what did she do?  She found another goal and career.  She prepared for physical assessments with the support of her yummy network and blew them out of the water.  Today, she is a graduate of the State of Connecticut, department of Correctional Academy.  I salute her for her determination and am humbled by her blessings to have achieved this goal and excelled.  I salute the rest of you that have done the same.  To the many of you that have yet to go through something like this, let this story inspire you.  Jeannette certainly leads by example.  From her yummy network and family, we love you and we are extremely proud of you!  P.S.  There is almost nothing sexier than a woman in uniform!

Do you move the way you live? I say you do! - click to comment

Karla Rodriguez - Saturday, November 20, 2010
If you move the way you live-take a hard look at the way you walk, the way you sit, the way you run, the way you workout and the way you play if you dare to play.  Is it still, reserved, loose, lively, timid, confident, big, small, tall, short, random, consistent, emotional, committed, plain, scared, courageous, overzealous, fake, motionless, tight, light, etc.  If you are not sure, then pay attention but something tells me that you know exactly how you move but you have never quite made the analogy that it is how you live.  A wise person made me think of this and I have observed this to be true in me and in the people that move around me.  How do you move?

Yummy Nails tell tales! - 3rd week October - click to comment

Karla Rodriguez - Thursday, October 21, 2010
I saw some of the cutest finger nail colors at one of my training sessions and I want to challenge all of you to do something with your nails.  If you don't normally get them done or are not a fan of acrylic, silk wrap or gel, they have a new lacquer that it is like hard gel that goes over your nail in color!  Or just get a manicure but sport a color.  The fall comes with so many cool darkish shades that you can play with.  I am sure that you will receive compliments.  Most people use their hands to write, talk, move things, wave, etc.  So if they are such a center piece, wouldn't if feel good to make them look like  a master piece.  Wear your work of art, the color your feeling or the color you would like to reflect, they can speak for you!  Do it all with a little nail color this week!  Let me know how it goes...  P.S. If you are a nail buff like myself, continue to do what you do because it is already part of who you are to be so yummilicious down to those fingertips.  Now we just have to get our fellow sisters to join the movement!
